The Beaver competition is an international activity with more and more countries involved, it aims at promoting Informatics and Computer Literacy in the young generation.

      It attracts many schools, teachers, and students - both girls and boys, who must answer to a given questionnaire in a well defined time. Winners are publicly rewarded on a national basis or receive public recognition for their participation.

      The competition takes place in fall, but it is being prepared throughout the whole year.

      The name of the competition derives from the original Lithuanian name Bebras. In Netherlands: Bever. In Polish: Bobr. In Slovakian: Bobor. In German: Biber.
